Back to School Open House
Valley School would like to invite all parents and their children to our first annual Back to School Open House and Dinner on Thursday, September 9th. Come share a meal and visit with us as we celebrate the beginning of a wonderful year of learning.
Dr. Selle and Mr. Smith will help serve dinner from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. There will be scheduled opportunities for you to meet with your children’s teachers about their expectations for the coming school year and time to answer your questions. Updated K-5 Curriculum Guides will be passed out by the classroom teachers, and parents who do not yet have the appropriate Core Knowledge book “What Your nth Grader Needs to Know” may check them out from the library.
Individual teachers will be in their classrooms giving 15-20 minute presentations and answering questions starting at 6 p.m. and repeating at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The middle school teachers will give joint presentations in the science room following the same schedule. Childcare will be provided so that you may visit with your children’s teachers easily. Parents are the first and most important educators of their children and we want this to be a successful year for everyone! We look forward to visiting with old friends and meeting new ones, so mark your calendars and we’ll see you Thursday, September 9th for dinner. |
