Here is a list of supplies for each of the classrooms at Valley School for the 2010-2011 school year.
KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST
- A backpack (labeled with child's name)
- 1 school box to hold supplies in desk
- 1 box of markers - 8 or more colors
- 1 handheld pencil sharpener that collects shavings
- 2 sets of water color paints
- 1 or 2 Pee-Chee type folder for papers
- 2 or 3 spiral notebooks – college or wide-ruled are both fine.
- 1 complete change of clothing for wet and muddy weather (socks, underwear, pants, shirt.) Please label all clothing and put in a plastic bag.
FIRST GRADE
- 1 box of 12 to 16 crayons
- 12 #2 pencils
- 2 to 3 Pee-Chee folders
- 1 pair of children’s scissors
- 1 box of Kleenex
- 1 small box to hold supplies
- 1 water bottle (optional)
- 1 backpack to carry items back & forth

SECOND GRADE
- 36 #2 pencils
- 12 pencil top erasers
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 box of 24 crayons
- 2 glue stick
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 wide-ruled spiral notebook (without tear-out pages)
- 1 box of markers
- 1 small pencil box
- 3 two pocket folders
- 1 pair of P.E. Shoes
THIRD GRADE
- 2 packages of wooden pencils
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 2 spiral notebook
- 2 or more packs of wide ruled notebook paper
- 2 Pee-Chee type folders
- 2 pink pearl erasers
- Fine tip markers
- Colored pencils
- Scissors
- Crayons
- 1 bottle of Elmer's glue

FOURTH GRADE
- 2 or more boxes of good quality wooden pencils
- 1 box of 24 crayons
- Colored pencils
- Fine tip markers
- Scissors – with your name on them
- 1 pack of wide-ruled notebook paper
- 1 single subject spiral notebook
- 5 good quality Pee-Chee type folders
- 2 regular size boxes of Kleenex (class supply for kids with the sniffles throughout the year)
FIFTH GRADE
- #2 pencils for all year
- Eraser or pencil top erasers
- 4 red pens
- 1 Backpack or book bag
- 3 spiral/wire notebooks (single subject/70 pages)
- 3 packs of notebook paper (college ruled preferred)
- 1 Box or pouch for pencils and supplies
- 4 oz. bottle of glue and/or glue stick
- 1 box of Kleenex
- Colored pencils
- 1 pair gym shoes for PE
MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOM SUPPLY LIST
Required:
- 1 notebook: 3-ring binder with 2” metal rings
- Dividers (6 subjects)
- 1 book bag or backpack
- Plenty of ruled notebook paper (loose)
- #2 pencils for ALL year
- Pens (black or blue ink) – no colored gels for school work please.
- 2 Red correcting pens
- Erasers (2 good ones)
- Colored pencils
- 1 12” (30 cm) ruler
- 1 pair gym shoes for P.E.
- 1 glue stick
- 1 highlighter
- 4 spiral notebooks with metal binding (70-100 pages each)
NEED TO HAVE (if at all possible):
- 1 Protractor
- 1 Drawing compass
- Scissors
- 1 box of Kleenex (homeroom)
- Mechanical pencils (0.7 mm lead) are okay in Mrs. Andres’ math classes.
